Central Florida Hillel Wellness Resources
Central Florida Hillel is working in partnership with Jewish Family Services (JFS) of Greater Orlando to create opportunities for student wellness through counseling, group sessions, and designing a wellness lounge in Central Florida Hillel.
Through the Wellness Center at Central Florida Hillel, students' health and wellness will be a priority. The lounge itself creates a comfortable and relaxing environment for students to disconnect from the outside world and focus on themselves.
Therapists from JFS will hold individual sessions for students to focus on topics such as, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, self-esteem, communication, self-care, and more.
For those interested in group sessions, there will be opportunities to join groups that are addressing issues like depression, anxiety, drugs, alcohol, and other topics that come up. These sessions will be offered for a chance to connect with other students facing similar concerns.
Currently with COVID-19, these sessions are being offered online. Once campus is fully reopened in a safe manner and all of our students return, these services can continue onsite. For student convenience, sessions will be held at Central Florida Hillel’s Wellness Lounge on the first floor of Northview. Northview is located at 3925 Lockwood Blvd, Oviedo, FL 32765; directly across from Spectrum Stadium. There is a separate entrance directly to the Wellness Center to help maintain privacy and confidentiality.

Because we understand that even with insurance, some students may not be in a position to afford counseling services and/or for various reasons may choose not to use insurance, Central Florida Hillel is raising money to create a fund that JFS therapists can access in order to support those students who need counseling but, simply can’t afford it. To help contribute to this fund, please donate here.
Hillel is creating a wellness grant accessible by students. This grant can be accessed by students who are in need of additional funding in order to utilize these opportunities. Funding opportunities will begin in Fall 2021.
