COVID-19 Response

COVID-19 Update and Resources

College is an incredible time in a young person’s life. Students love living on campus, hanging with friends, and creating their community. When UCF closed campus earlier this spring all of that changed.

We have been in constant touch with students since then. Some are lonely, scared, and isolated. Some are still alone in their apartments for fear of getting or giving the illness to a family member. Some have been unable to travel home due to fear of getting sick.

Since we transitioned online in March, we have engaged over a hundred students across many programs. More important, we have been there for our students when they need us most. Our staff has conducted numerous one-on-one interactions during this tough time. When students connect on Zoom with us, they share their emotions, challenges, and successes – and we celebrate them and listen to them.

Right now, our staff are working on plans for the fall semester, pending many updates and more information in the weeks ahead. We are committed to making sure that Central Florida Hillel is a safe place for students. We will be following the guidelines of UCF in all of our fall activities.

We will most likely host  events outside and around campus. As this is a relatively quickly evolving situation, more will come as we get closer to the academic year.

If you have any questions or concerns, or just need someone to talk to, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
