Board of Directors Bios

Eric Ambinder

Eric Ambinder joined the CFH Board of Directors in 2017 and currently serves as Treasurer. He is a business consultant with more than 10 years of experience helping organizations grow and address risk. Currently, Eric works for Visit Orlando in their Business Affairs department. Eric earned a Juris Doctor and a Master of Science in Management from the University of Florida. He holds a BA from the University of Michigan, where he was a senior sports editor and columnist for The Michigan Daily. He is an active member of the Florida Bar. Eric fills most of his free time with his wife Kellie, training for 5Ks, listening to podcasts, and supporting the Michigan Wolverines, New York Giants, and New York Knicks through their ups and downs. 

Dan Harris

Dan is an attorney in Orlando, Florida with an LL.M. in Taxation practicing estate planning and probate, corporate law, high net worth family planning, tax planning, charitable planning, and non-profit law.  He helps clients identify personal and business succession goals for their family, then creates an integrated estate and business plan to achieve those goals.  Dan Often this type of planning may include creating Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, designing vehicles to reduce estate taxes, and creating or recapitalizing closely held businesses with voting and non-voting units to pass assets in a tax-efficient manner to future generations. He enjoys building a unique plan that addresses the family’s complex needs, all while being able to explain the big picture in a way that the client will understand easily and for years to come. Dan also has extensive experience working with high net worth families to create Florida Trust Companies that may manage the family’s assets and serve as Trustee of their Trusts in perpetuity. He works closely with the family to determine how best to structure the Board of Managers so that it may succeed in stewarding the family’s wealth for generations to come.

Gregory Finkelstein

Gregory Finkelstein (Orlando) currently operates as a principal consultant advising colleges, universities and education technology (ed-tech) companies.  Prior to that, Greg held Executive Leadership Team (ELT) roles at two publicly traded ed-techs – Zovio (NASDAQ – ZVO) and John Wiley and Sons (NYSE – JWA).  Previously, Greg was a co-founder of two market leading ed-tech businesses – a prominent OPMs (Deltak) and a first generation bootcamp business (The Beacon Institute).  During his time leading Deltak, Greg was also part of the executive leadership team that oversaw Rasmussen College for nearly a decade.  Greg began his career as a network engineer for several companies including USConnect – Miami.  Greg received his BSME from Tulane University.

Jeremy Gorovitz

Jeremy Gorovitz is a commercial real estate investor and developer, as well as founder of JPG Properties. He focuses primarily on commercial, as well as health, wellness, and hospitality projects throughout North America. Prior to JPG Properties, Jeremy was a Senior Acquisition and Development Manager at Tricor International Corporation, a multi-faceted development firm focused primarily on the southeastern US. Prior to Tricor, Jeremy was an investment analyst at J.P. Morgan. Jeremy graduated magna cum laude from University of Miami School of Business with a BBA in finance and real estate.

Lauren Koblick

Lauren Koblick has been engaged in Jewish life from childhood and involved in Jewish community work her entire career. Currently, Lauren serves as the Special Events Director for the Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center in Boca Raton, where her passion for community along with her creativity and organizational skills makes her a great asset to their professional leadership team. Lauren’s community acumen got its start as a student leader with the Hillel at the University of South Florida, where she was an active student board member. Her professional start was at Central Florida Hillel, where she was the Program Director, so CFH holds a special place in her heart. After working at CFH for 3 years, and prior to her move to South Florida, Lauren was the founding Membership & Special Events Director for the then-new Rosen JCC in South Orlando. While she lived and worked in Orlando, the Rhode Island-native earned her Masters in Non-Profit Management from UCF, making her a proud Knight. In her free time Lauren enjoys an outdoor healthy lifestyle which includes participating in half marathons and relaxing at the beautiful South Florida beaches.  Lauren resides in Parkland, FL with her husband Richard and two young children, but you will always find her rooting for all New England sports teams!
